How video downloading works

This tool uses yt-dlp (Unlicense), the de-facto open-source downloader, to fetch the original video stream directly from the platform.

Supported platforms

  • Bilibili (B站), Douyin (抖音), Xiaohongshu (小红书) are all handled by built-in extractors.
  • For some Douyin / Xiaohongshu videos that require login, paste a cookies.txt export (from your browser session) into the optional field above.

    What you get

  • The original, watermark-free video file in MP4, at the best available quality.
  • Separate audio/video streams are merged into a single MP4 with ffmpeg on the server.

    Limitations

  • Live streams, paid / login-walled content, and videos over 1 GiB are not downloaded.
  • Download speed depends on the platform and your network; very long videos may take minutes.

Is the downloaded video watermark-free?
Yes. We fetch the original stream from the platform, so the saved MP4 has no extra watermark added by this tool.
Why does my Douyin / Xiaohongshu link fail?
Some of those videos require you to be logged in. Export a cookies.txt from your browser while logged in and paste it into the optional Cookies field, then retry.
Is there a size limit?
Yes - videos larger than 1 GiB are rejected to protect server resources. Most short videos download fine.
Are my videos kept on the server?
No. Each download is processed in a temporary job and the file is deleted shortly after you retrieve it. We keep no copies.
