FAQ
Are files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool uses pdf-lib to perform all PDF merging locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded to any server, fully protecting your privacy.
Are there file count or size limits?
There are no hard limits. However, due to browser memory constraints, it is recommended to keep the total size under 500 MB and the file count under 100 for best performance.
What about the quality of the merged PDF?
Merging is lossless—every page of the original PDFs is preserved completely, including text, images, vector graphics, and form fields.
Are encrypted PDFs supported?
PDFs with owner-password (permission restrictions) can be read. If a PDF has a user open password, you must remove it before merging.
Can I change the merge order?
Yes. Simply drag file items in the list to reorder them freely. The list order is the final page order.
